Video Compression

Approximately six times more bandwidth-efficient at every resolution from 480p to 8K.

EVE Codec is a GPU-accelerated video compression stack engineered for contested links, bandwidth-bound networks, and storage-constrained operations. It targets the bitrate envelope where conventional codecs fail to deliver usable video and has been field-validated in military and commercial deployments.

Capabilities

What EVE Codec delivers.

Six-times the efficiency at every tier

Holds quality at roughly one-sixth the bitrate of major streaming platforms across every resolution from 480p to 8K. Approximately 2x over H.264 and 33% over H.265 at matched perceptual quality.

NVIDIA-native pipeline

Encode and decode pipelines built on CUDA, NVENC, and TensorRT. Runs end-to-end on the GPU with no CPU fallback, from Jetson Orin at the edge to data-center GPUs in the rear.

TRL 9 maturity

Field-deployed and validated in military and commercial production. Not a research codec; a shipping system with operational hours behind it.

Forensic watermarking option

A/B spread-spectrum spatial watermark layer available for licensee programs requiring tamper-evident or attribution-bearing video.

Bitrate envelope

Bandwidth efficiency at every resolution tier.

Each row compares the bitrate at which a major streaming platform delivers the resolution against the bitrate at which EVE Codec holds matched perceptual quality. Methodology and source-format-specific notes are available under NDA.

Resolution Industry (Mbps) EVE Codec (Mbps) Ratio
480p 1.4 0.25 5.6x
720p 3.7 0.60 6.2x
1080p 7.4 1.00 7.4x
4K 18.9 3.00 6.3x
8K 55.0 8.00 6.9x

Industry bitrates reflect representative figures from major streaming platforms. EVE Codec figures reflect target operational bitrates at matched perceptual quality. Approximately 2x improvement over H.264 and 33% improvement over H.265 at matched perceptual quality.
